Fortnite’s Treasure Hunters mini season added 13 new pirate-themed Sprites with update v43.00 on November 1, 2026, and you can collect every one by tearing down Wanted Posters, digging up Buried Sprite Chests, or opening regular chests during matches. Each Sprite gives you a passive perk that grows stronger as it levels up, from faster reloads to health regen in water. With Fortune, Cursed, and Gold variants, the collection grows to 35 Sprites across the 35-day season. Below, I’ve listed all 13 Sprites with their powers, rarities, the fastest farming routes, and the Mastery rewards worth chasing.

What Are Sprites in Treasure Hunters?

Sprites are tiny companions that follow you around and grant passive buffs in Battle Royale, and this batch is pirate-themed to match the new Crossbones Isle map. Almost all of them tie into the One Piece collab, so don’t be surprised to see a Transponder Snail bobbing behind you. If you grabbed the One Piece Luffy skin in Fortnite, these Sprites complete the pirate fantasy nicely.

How to Get Sprites in Fortnite Treasure Hunters?

I’ve found four reliable routes to Sprites this season:

  1. Tear down Wanted Posters. Posters hang on walls near POIs. Interact with one and it becomes a Sprite Treasure Map that marks a nearby island, where you dig up the Buried Sprite Chest with your pickaxe. There are 126 Wanted Posters on the map, with the biggest clusters in Cursed Cavern (20), Fortune’s Fort (13), and Loguetown (12).
  2. Open Sprite Chests. These always drop a Sprite, and the chest’s look hints at what’s inside — the red ruby-style chests contain Fortune Sprites. Exactly 45 Buried Sprite Chests are scattered around, with Giant’s Battlefield (7) and Cursed Cavern (6) the richest dig spots.
  3. Search regular chests. Any chest can randomly pop a Sprite, so your normal loot route keeps working passively.
  4. Eliminate Sprite carriers. Knock a player holding a Sprite and it drops for you to grab — you can also trade Sprites with teammates.

One thing most players miss: a Sprite only joins your collection once you extract it, either with a Portable Extractor or at an Extraction Site. And if you’d rather skip the digging, the Lucky Locator from Sprite Mastery rewards detects Buried Sprite Chests without a map.

All 13 New Sprites and Their Powers

Here’s every new Sprite in the Treasure Hunters mini season, its rarity, and what it does:

SpriteRarityPower
Halfpeel’dRareMarks enemy eliminations on your map; radius grows each level
Re-PeteRareFaster reloads with a chance to refund ammo; improves per level
Barry O’FishRareLess stamina drain sprinting in water; Slap effect at max level
WayfinderRareReveals nearby Sprites; extra loot from Buried Sprite Chests
ChesterEpicChance of extra chest loot; nullifies fall damage
ExmarksEpicReveals Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters; spawns a map at max level
KelperEpicRestores health over time while you stand in water
Lil’ SquibblyEpicJumping into a fishing hole auto-catches it plus bonus loot
Lil’ FlackoLegendaryLanding creates a shockwave that knocks back enemies
Lil’ Uzi Vert Jr.LegendaryTriggers a Chug Splash whenever your shields are restored (live Week 2, November 7)
Transponder SnailLegendaryExtra resources on pickup; teammates running it benefit too
Sweet DreamsMythicGrants a random item each level-up; bursts Mythic loot at max level
PlundarrghMythicOpening chests boosts pickaxe and movement speed

My picks: Sweet Dreams is the best overall — free items every level-up that end in Mythic loot is absurd value. Chester is the best early-game pick since no fall damage plus extra chest loot makes looting faster and safer.

Sprite Variants: Fortune, Cursed and Gold Explained

Variants stack a bonus on top of a Sprite’s base power, and here’s the schedule:

VariantStatusBonus
FortuneLive nowReveals nearby Chests
CursedExpected November 7 (Week 2)Boosts rare variant odds, but water damages you
GoldNovember 12, 2026Bonus XP for every elimination

Eleven of the 13 Sprites come in Fortune and Cursed versions — Sweet Dreams and Transponder Snail don’t, which is why the full collection adds up to 13 + 11 + 11 = 35. Fair warning on Cursed Sprites: the water-damage penalty turns every river crossing into a hazard, so they clash badly with water-friendly picks like Kelper. I’d save Cursed hunting for the final weeks when rare variant odds matter most.

Sprite Mastery Rewards in Fortnite Treasure Hunters

Every Sprite you extract feeds the returning Sprite Mastery track, found under the Treasure tab. Rewards include Lucky Locators, Golden Fireworks, and the Sprite Mastery Strongbox Back Bling, which upgrades as you progress. Master 40 Sprites and the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella is yours. A new Mastery page unlocks weekly, and on Mastery Mondays, Wanted Posters and Sprite Chests spawn in bigger numbers — that’s the day to grind.

Pro Tips for Faster Sprite Collecting

  • Drop Fortune’s Fort on day one. Thirteen posters and three Buried Sprite Chests in one POI, and it’s usually quieter than Cursed Cavern.
  • Plan your route around water. Kelper and Barry O’Fish shine on an island full of rivers — until Cursed variants go live.
  • Hunt bosses for bonus Sprites. Beating A$AP Rocky aboard The $.$. Rocky can drop his Shock Rocket and the Lil’ Flacko Sprite.
  • Prioritize extraction over fights. An unextracted Sprite is worth nothing if you get eliminated. Grab a Portable Extractor early.
  • Trade with your squad. Duplicates are inevitable, so swap rather than reroll the RNG.
