You unlock Cha Hae-In in Anime Zero by clearing the Evil Reflection raid on Nightmare difficulty. Her weapon, Solar Radiance, drops with a 2% chance per run and is guaranteed by your 35th clear thanks to the pity counter.
After that, awaken her in the Evolution menu with raid materials, 8,000,000 Coins, and 15,000 Gems to unlock her Ultimate and the tag-team finisher she shares with Sung Jin-Woo.

I’ve been farming this raid since Update 4 went live on October 17, 2026, and this guide breaks down every drop rate, material, and shortcut I’ve found so you don’t waste a single run.
What Is Cha Hae-In (Solar Radiance) in Anime Zero?
In Anime Zero, characters are equipped as weapons, and Cha Hae-In is listed only as Solar Radiance. She arrived with Update 4 alongside Chisa (Crimson Eclipse), and unlike almost every other kit, she never appears in Arsenal spins — the raid is the only way to get her. Community tier lists place her in S tier: her Triple Ult is one of the best nukes in the game, her title is strong, and she’s the only weapon that triggers a cinematic combo with Shadow Monarch. If you’re chasing that duo or just want a top-tier sword, she’s worth the grind.
Step 1: Queue Evil Reflection on Nightmare
Evil Reflection has four difficulties — Easy, Medium, Hard, and Nightmare. Only Nightmare lists Solar Radiance and her awakening materials, so that’s where every run counts. You can queue solo or with one partner, and a full Nightmare clear pays a guaranteed $29K Coins and 580 EXP Crystals before any lucky drops. If you’re still under level 50, level up first — Story Nightmare gives roughly 118,800 XP per hour in my Anime Zero XP farming guide, and some codes need level 50 anyway.
Step 2: Clear Five Waves and Pick the Best Mirror Blessings
Each run has five waves. The first four throw hostile mobs and afterimages at you, and between waves you pick a Mirror Blessing that stacks for the rest of the run. Damage cards beat survivability here, and I pick them in this order:
- Glass Cannon — +60% damage
- Twin Breaker (Epic) — +50% damage against the Evil Twin and its afterimages
- Sharper Edge — +35% damage
- Mirror Leech (Rare) — heals you per hit, capped at 4% per second
Glass Cannon first is the community standard, and if it isn’t offered, Twin Breaker keeps your boss phase fast.
Step 3: Beat Evil M_K and His Immune Phases
Wave 5 is the evil twin boss, Evil M_K — the fight that gates every Solar Radiance drop. As his health falls, he summons reflection enemies and turns fully immune while they’re alive. When you see “Defeat the summons” on your HUD, stop hitting the boss and swap targets; AoE skills shine when the summons group up. Keep an escape route open before starting long melee strings so you can dodge his follow-ups. A focused two-player Nightmare clear takes just over three minutes, and any strong main works — many players run Astral Blossom in the second slot for her damage aura.
Evil Reflection Nightmare Drop Rates
| Nightmare Reward | Drop Rate | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Full clear | Guaranteed | $29K Coins, 580 EXP Crystals |
| Solar Radiance | 2% | Pity at 35 clears |
| Pure Sword Shards | 15–20% | x1–2 |
| Hunter’s Star | 15% | x1–2 |
| Pure Quill | 2.5% | x1–2 |
The pity counter tracks your clears and caps the dry streak at 35, so check the raid reward panel before planning long sessions. Pure Quill is the real bottleneck — at 2.5%, it’s the rarest drop on the board, and its only purpose is awakening Solar Radiance.
How to Awaken Solar Radiance?
Owning Solar Radiance doesn’t unlock her Ultimate — awakening does. Open the Evolution menu and fill every slot:
| Material | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Fine Cloth | 40 | All Story chapters |
| Soul Fragment | 25 | Story Chapter 1 |
| Magic Pendant | 15 | Story Chapter 1 |
| Pure Sword Shards | 25 | Evil Reflection, Nightmare |
| Hunter’s Star | 15 | Evil Reflection, Nightmare |
| Pure Quill | 8 | Evil Reflection, Nightmare |
| Coins | 8,000,000 | Codes and mode rewards |
| Gems | 15,000 | Codes and mode rewards |
Some accounts show slightly different numbers (20 shards and 9 quills), so check your in-game menu before counting materials. Once every slot is filled, hit Evolve Character and you’ll see “You unlocked an Ultimate for Solar Radiance” — her hub model switches to a glowing blade with a visible aura. Pre-farm the Story materials before you start raid grinding so nothing interrupts your sessions.
Solar Radiance Moveset at a Glance
- M1: quick, extended light slashes with solid range
- Z skill: a multi-hit dash with an EXTEND follow-up prompt
- C skill (Volley): a targeted projectile barrage for distant or isolated enemies
- Ultimate: a cutscene into a wide burst of light and fire slashes — the hit that triggers Triple Ult
Her kit rewards staying on the weapon: the extra damage from Z and C only lands if you press the follow-up prompt in time.
The Sung Jin-Woo Duo Ultimate Explained
Update 4 also added a Tag Team Synergy Ultimate between Solar Radiance and Shadow Monarch. The requirements are strict: awakened Cha Hae-In in your main slot and a fully awakened, developed Sung Jin-Woo (Igris upgrades included) in your secondary slot. Use her Ultimate and the follow-up plays a joint cinematic combo complete with Jin-Woo’s shadow summons.
It only works one way — with Shadow Monarch as your primary weapon, the synergy never triggers, and it can’t be used on Sung Jin-Woo himself. Since Shadow Monarch comes from Nightmare Shadow Gate and needs Monarch Path progress, the duo is realistic mostly for players who already built him.
Tips to Cut the Grind Short
- Redeem codes first. UPDATEFOUR and THANKS4WAITING each give 300 Trait Rerolls, 1,000,000 Coins, and 150 Lucky Spins (UPDATEFOUR needs level 50) — that’s a quarter of her awakening Coins in two codes.
- Level up efficiently. Story Nightmare is the fastest XP route on the road to level 500; the same guide above covers every mode’s XP per hour.
- Save your Gems. 15,000 is a steep bill, and free Gems from codes and mode rewards add up faster than you’d expect.
- Use the Season Pass. Season 1’s Tier 25 gives a Hunter’s Star and Tier 45 gives a Magic Pendant — both awakening ingredients.
- Grab the bonus title. Eight Hard-or-higher clears while Solar Radiance is equipped unlocks the “Wifey” title along the way.
FAQs
What difficulty gives Cha Hae-In in Anime Zero?
Nightmare — the highest Evil Reflection difficulty. Easy, Medium, and Hard don’t list Solar Radiance or any of her awakening materials.
Can you get Solar Radiance from Lucky Spins?
No. Solar Radiance never appears in Arsenal spins, so Evil Reflection on Nightmare is her only source as of October 2026.
Why isn’t my duo ultimate with Sung Jin-Woo working?
Solar Radiance (Awakened) must be your main weapon, and Sung Jin-Woo must be awakened and developed in the secondary slot. The combo doesn’t trigger the other way around.
How long does it take to get Cha Hae-In?
Expect a few days of casual farming. The 2% drop and 35-clear pity mean dozens of runs, and Pure Quills usually set the pace.
Is Cha Hae-In worth grinding?
Yes if you have (or plan to build) Shadow Monarch — the duo ultimate is unique. Otherwise she’s a strong S-tier sword, but Chisa may fit your grind better.
