How to Unlock Fishing in Slayers 2?

You need Level 45 and a Fishing Permit before you can buy a rod or cast a line.

Travel to Mistfall Harbor and talk to Dock Master Sofen near the central docks.
Head across the docks to a building with wooden crates.
Grab the permit papers from the top of the crates.
Return them to Sofen.

Catch 5 Golden Fish with the Basic Rod, then pay Jeso 10,000.

Legendary Fishing Rod

You can’t buy this one. You earn it through a three-step quest.

Step 1: Get the Drowned Lure. Talk to Sofen for a hint. Then go to the small ledge opposite the water vent, near the red bridge. Equip the Basic Rod with no bait and fish. The lure usually drops around your 5th or 6th catch.

Step 2: Meet the Ghost Fisherman. He waits under the red bridge across from the ledge. He wants:

2 Crustadon
2 Krahuon (both Legendary-tier fish)

You can catch them from the same ledge. Switch to the Rare Rod with Shark Head bait to speed this up.

Step 3: Catch the rod. Hand over the fish and he’ll reveal the final spot, outside Butterfly Estate, next to a tree with a small waterfall. Equip the Drowned Lure as your bait on the Rare Rod and keep fishing until the Legendary Rod drops.

You unlock this title automatically with the Legendary Rod. No extra quest is needed.

I’d keep it equipped for long farming sessions. The extra breath also helps in underwater areas.

How to Get Bait in Slayers 2?

Bait is locked behind a short favor for Baitmonger Nori in Hidden Mist Village.

Talk to Nori. He sends you to Shiori at Butterfly Estate.
Give Shiori 10 Health Elixirs, 10 Health Regen Elixirs, and 10 Stamina Elixirs.
Go back to Nori to unlock the shop.

How the Fishing Minigame Works?

Equip a rod and cast into any body of water.
Wait for a bite.
Keep the green bar inside the moving white bar.
Fill the progress meter to 100% to land the catch.

A missed timing wastes the cast, not the rod. I’d do about 10 practice casts before judging your drop rates. Watch for bite cues instead of AFK casting.

What Is Fishing Used For?

Fishing has two uses, and one is much better than the other.

Selling fish: Fine early on with the Basic or Rare Rod. Quests and combat pay more per hour later.
