Your race in Pixel Lineage decides how much damage you deal, how long you survive, and how fast you farm, and since the Race EVO update it matters more than any single gear slot. I ranked all 14 races using the live RACE CHANCES odds, the current October 2026 meta, and my own Nightmare runs. Nightborne and Celestine top the list, Vesper leads the Rare picks, and evolved Uncommon races now compete with Mythics. Here’s the quick snapshot, then the full tier list, evolution steps, spin codes, and farming routes.
| Pick | Race | Rarity (odds) | Why it wins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best overall | Nightborne | Mythic (0.7%) | Attacks heal 15% of damage dealt |
| Best for DPS | Celestine | Mythic (1.4%) | +6% crit, +4% dodge, +6% magic |
| Best budget | Vesper | Rare (5.8%) | Magic damage, energy, evasion |
| Best for beginners | Tideborn | Mythic (0.7%) | Heals 5% max HP every turn |
Pixel Lineage Race Tier List (October 2026)
| Tier | Races |
|---|---|
| S | Nightborne, Celestine |
| A | Vesper, Seraph, Sylvan, Dullahan |
| B | Tideborn, Ashborn, Stonekin |
| C | Mushroom, Slime, Dwarf, Human |
| D | Goblin |
Nightborne is the most forgiving race in the game: Bloodthirst heals you for 15% of every hit’s damage, and the Stage 3 Nightlord evolution turns overhealing into a shield worth 25% of your max HP. Celestine’s crit and magic stats scale beautifully with EVOs. Dullahan is event-only — grab it from the Candy Witch’s store for 10,000 Candy while Halloween lasts. Goblin sits in D-tier for combat, but I still rate its +8% gold early on, because gold buys Heirlooms on the Auction House.

The October 20 2026 “Spear Class + Dragon Race” update added a Dragon lineage to the reroll table, and its exact odds weren’t confirmed at publication — check the in-game RACE CHANCES panel. Dullahan isn’t in the spin pool at all. All four Mythics together roll at 3.5% per spin, so your three starting spins give roughly a 10% shot at one.
Best Race for Every Class
Match the race to your build and it carries you through Nightmare:
- Mage / Hexer: Vesper (magic and energy) or Celestine (crit)
- Fist / Monk: Stonekin — +15% Fist damage plus tanky EVOs
- Archer / Ranger: Celestine crits or Ashborn’s raw attack
- Bard / support: Seraph — Angelic Blessing shields your whole party
- Any solo build: Nightborne, for sustain you can’t die without
If you’re picking classes in other RPGs too, my AION 2 classes tier list ranks 2026‘s biggest MMO launch the same way.
How to Evolve Your Race (Race EVO)
Every race evolves through three stages, and each stage needs one specific item:
- Stage 1 – Kindled: use your race’s Heirloom. It only drops in a set Act on a set difficulty — the right Act on the wrong difficulty gives you nothing.
- Stage 2 – Exalted: feed it a Heartblood from a specific Act boss.
- Stage 3: more Heartbloods unlock the race’s final form — Nightlord, Paragon, Cinderlord, Veilweaver and more.
Items are race-locked, and a Heartblood does nothing until you’re Kindled, so always check your race before buying an Heirloom. The drops I’d prioritize:
| Race | Heirloom (Kindled) | Heartblood (Exalted) |
|---|---|---|
| Nightborne | Act 9, Nightmare | Act 3 |
| Celestine | Act 9, Nightmare | Act 1 |
| Seraph | Act 10, Nightmare | Act 4 |
| Vesper | Act 6, Nightmare | Act 7 |
| Human | Act 1–2, Normal | Act 2 |
Evolution boosts your racial bonus instead of replacing it — Nightborne’s heal alone jumps from 15% to 25% of damage dealt at Kindled.
How to Get More Race Spins
You start with three race spins, and each spin rerolls your race randomly. Extra spins come from codes, events, and the Robux shop (75 Robux each). The October 2026 codes below give 41 free race spins combined:
| Code | Rewards |
|---|---|
| SAKURA | 10 race spins, 10 talent spins, 1 Life, 1 Renewal Crystal |
| 0y0 | 10 race spins, 10 talent spins, 1 Life |
| TORMENT | 8 race spins, 8 talent spins, 1,000 gold, 100 Knowledge |
| LEGENDS | 5 race spins, 5 talent spins, 2,500 gold, 6 whetstones |
| COMMUNITY! | 5 race spins, 5 talent spins, 1 Life |

To redeem: join the Pixel Lineage Roblox group first, then click the Goblin Merchant in your castle, scroll to the Codes section, paste the code, and hit Redeem. Expired: EARLY, ThankYou, Slooth. New codes drop in the official Discord with the weekly Tuesday update — and if you like reroll-heavy games, my Start Your Blue Lock Career codes work the same way.
Farming Tips for Heirlooms, Heartbloods and Gold
- Stack loot bonus before anything else. Gear with the Lucky effect raises drop rates, and Todd’s Stapler has the highest loot bonus in the game — equip it even if it’s underleveled.
- Farm Nightmare, not Normal. Heirlooms only drop on their listed difficulty. Once you hit level 50 and finish the story, Torment’s daily gauntlet adds a guaranteed Legendary or Epic Tormented piece per clear.
- Balance clear speed against loot odds. A fast Hard run can beat a slow Nightmare one, and party play wins when Act 9+ bosses stall you.
- Compare the Auction House to your time. If an Heirloom costs less gold than an hour of farming, buy it and farm Heartbloods instead.
- Save spins for Tuesday updates. The game patches weekly, and a new race like Dragon can shift the meta overnight.
Common Race Mistakes to Avoid
- Rerolling a good fit. Rarity isn’t tier — a Kindled Stonekin beats an unevolved Mythic if you play Fist.
- Buying the wrong Heirloom. Items are race-locked, so confirm your race before spending Auction House gold.
- Farming the wrong difficulty. The right Act on Normal gives nothing if the Heirloom only drops on Hard or Nightmare.
- Spending spins before Tuesday. Weekly updates add races and codes, and waiting one day can change your whole roll.
FAQs
What is the best race in Pixel Lineage?
Nightborne. Its lifesteal carries you through Nightmare and Torment, and it scales safest into Stage 3. Celestine is the pick for pure damage builds.
What are the odds of rolling a Mythic race?
0.7% per specific Mythic (Seraph, Nightborne, Tideborn) and 1.4% for Celestine — about 3.5% for any Mythic per spin. Ten spins is roughly a 30% chance.
How do you get more race spins?
Redeem codes at the Goblin Merchant (SAKURA and 0y0 give 10 each), claim event rewards, or buy spins in the shop for 75 Robux.
How do you evolve your race?
Farm your race’s Heirloom from its listed Act and difficulty to reach Kindled, then a Heartblood from the listed boss to reach Exalted, then more Heartbloods for Stage 3.
